PTC News Desk: In a significant development, Mohali Police have detained Paramjot Kaur, the wife of Tajinder Singh Bhatia, the prominent owner of Aeropolis City, from Hyderabad airport. The arrest stems from a fraud case involving both Tajinder Singh Bhatia and his wife, filed by the Sohana police in July 2024.

The Fraud Case: What Happened?

According to reports, the case originated from a land deal that took place in 2019. A businessman from Panchkula, Anshul Singla, had entered into an agreement to purchase approximately 51,624 square yards of land from the directors of Aeropolis City. The land was situated in Kambala village and Kambali, in the highly sought-after areas of Mohali’s Sector 66 and 66A. The total value of the deal was Rs 77.79 lakhs.

Singla had reportedly paid Rs 11.11 lakh as a token advance for the property. However, after the initial payment, the deal began to unravel. The businessman accused Bhatia and his wife of not following through on the agreement, leading to the fraud allegations.

Arrest and ongoing investigation

The Mohali police, acting on the fraud complaint, arrested Paramjot Kaur late last night at Hyderabad airport as she was about to travel. The authorities are now conducting further investigations into the matter. The arrest marks a crucial step in the legal proceedings surrounding the case, and additional actions are expected to follow in the coming days.

With Tajinder Singh Bhatia also implicated in the case, the spotlight now turns to the ongoing investigation and what it may uncover regarding the high-profile real estate deal.
