From the Ambani family to Elon Musk: Billionaires and celebrities at the Paris Olympics 2024
The VIPs attending the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are shown below.
PTC News Desk: For the Olympics, celebrities and billionaires from all over the world have flocked to Paris. With a spectacular opening ceremony that featured performances by Lady Gaga and Celine Dion, an Olympic torch bearer running across the city's rooftops, an Olympic team floating down the Seine River, and the odd appearance of a semi-naked blue man on a platter of fruits, the Paris Games 2024 officially got underway on Friday.
Stars from Hollywood and Bollywood, A-list athletics, and some of the wealthiest business families in the world attended the opening ceremony.
Here is a look at the VIPs who are currently in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games:
Ambani family
At the inauguration event, billionaire Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries, his wife Nita, and daughter Isha were all pictured. At the 142nd session of the IOC, Nita Ambani, the chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, was unanimously re-elected as an Indian member of the International Olympic Committee.
Elon Musk
Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of Tesla and presently the richest person in the planet, is also in Paris for the Olympics. Following his photo with IOC member Luis Mejía Oviedo, Musk posted images of the Eiffel Tower lit up for the spectacular athletic event. "It was an incredible Olympic laser show!" he wrote.
Ed Bastian
Ed Bastian, the CEO of Delta, was sighted in Paris prior to the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Given that he was there during a period when Delta was dealing with thousands of aircraft cancellations that left an estimated half a million passengers delayed, there were some raised eyebrows about his appearance.
Ram Charan and family
‘RRR’ actor Ram Charan also attended the Paris Olympics opening ceremony with wife Upasana. The couple shared a photo from the rain-soaked ceremony which shows Upasana in a plastic poncho. “Drenched,” she captioned the picture.
David Solomon
Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon is in Paris for the Olympics, the New York Post reported. He arrived in the City of Lights on the company’s private jet earlier this week.
Ariana Grande
American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande, 31, attended the Paris Olympics opening ceremony in a baby pink dress.
Bernard Arnault
LVMH billionaire and the world’s third richest person, Bernard Arnault, is also a part of the Olympics. His company is sponsoring the event, marking the first time that a luxury brand is an Olympic sponsor. Arnault was earlier photographed with Nita and Mukesh Ambani.
This, of course, is only a small part from a long list of VIPs who are currently in Paris.
