Begowal Land Case: Bibi Jagir Kaur, the previous president of the SGPC, has had numerous difficulties. Bibi Jagir Kaur has been directed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court to submit a formal complaint informing the authorities of her illegal land possession.

These directives were issued by the Punjab and Haryana High Court

Let it be stated that Bibi Jagir Kaur was found guilty by the Hon'ble High Court by its order of occupying NAC Begowal's 172 kanal land illegally. The High Court has mandated that EONAC Begowal pay back the 172 kanals of land that have been occupied and take the necessary actions to retrieve the 5 crore 91 lakhs in rent.

In addition, the Vigilance Bureau has been instructed by the court to file criminal charges against the officials who permitted the aforementioned illicit holdings. It should be noted that Sukhpal Khaira, a Congress MLA, has posted a copy of the High Court's ruling on X.

It should be noted that Bibi Jagir Kaur was charged in the petition with trespassing and unlawfully occupying Begowal's 172 kanal five marles, or roughly 18–20 bighas of land, between 1996 and 2014. The area was allegedly used to build a high school, and N.A.C. was notified of the building. However, rather than having the construction removed, an international school began operations there, despite the fact that it is not recognized anywhere.

There have been claims that this school receives 95% government funding, and an international school cannot operate inside an aided school. The Director General of School Education received a demand letter in response to this, and the issue was brought up in the Legislative Assembly.
