Farmer organisations, arhtiyas to protest outside CM Mann's residence

PTC News Desk: The farmers organisations along with arhtiyas (commission agents) and rice millers will protest outside Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's residence later today. Around 1000 people will gather and march towards the Chief Minister's residence.

Besides CM house, farmers will also protest outside the BJP members' residence. This decision has been taken by Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Ugrahan. which comes in the wake against illegal procurement of paddy. This protest is against both the Center and the Punjab government.

Farmer leaders have accused both the central and Punjab governments of neglecting the legitimate demands of farmers.  While arhtiyas are demanding a raise in their commission, rice millers have raised the issue of space crunch for storing the fresh paddy crop and want the Centre to liquidate the existing wheat and paddy stock to create sufficient space.
