This state extends lockdown restrictions till January 31
There seems to be no end to the coronavirus pandemic. Infact, the cases of new mutant virus are also increasing in the country. Looking into the matter, the Maharashtra government has extended the lockdown restrictions in the state till January 31, 2021. A circular to this effect was issued on December 29. Therefore, to take certain emergency measures to prevent and contain the spread of the virus, the lockdown in the state has been extended till January 31," the circular read. Adding, the activities already allowed and permitted from time to time shall be continued. Over the past few months, the government has eased several lockdown restrictions. Last month, the government had also allowed reopening of places of worship and schools for students from Std. 9th to 12th in some parts of the state. -PTC News
