Japan: Before visiting any hospital, one thing which comes to the mind of an ailing person or his/her attendants is hygiene at that medical facility. But what if one fine day you get to know that the place where you are undergoing treatment is making you more sick! This has come to light in a Japan hospital, which as per reports, had been "accidentally" using simply treated water meant for toilets as drinking water for over 30 years. The hospital is situated in Osaka University. The clinic building is attached to the faculty of medicine. This fault took place because of an error in connecting pipes when the hospital was constructed in 1993. As per Japanese media reports, no one flagged the issue or even noticed it until the hospital management started constructing a new treatment plant. The problem of unsafe water was discovered during an inspection of the new building.
