Sukhbir Singh Badal talks with teacher who climbed atop mobile tower in Chandigarh

Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday had a telephonic conversation with an unemployed elementary teacher who climbed atop a mobile tower near MLA Hostel in Sector 4, Chandigarh. The Punjab teacher is carrying a bottle of petrol and reiterating his demand to make the services of contractual employees permanent. Also Read | Covid-19: No booster dose required in India as of now, says AIIMS Director Later, Shiromani Akali Dal president along with the senior party leaders were detained in Chandigarh for protesting against the alleged Congress conspiracy to implicate senior party leader Bikram Singh Majithia in a drugs case. Meanwhile, a heavy police force and fire tenders reached the spot and tried to convince the protester to come down. As per the police officials, the protesting teacher climbed atop the tower near the MLA hostel in Chandigarh at around 4 am on Saturday. -PTC News
