As political parties have swing into action ahead of Punjab Assembly Elections 2022, the Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday said that there would be two Deputy Chief Ministers if the party forms the government next year.
Sukhbir Singh Badal said that there will two Deputy Chief Ministers if the Shiromani Akali Dal forms the government. One of them would be a Dalit face while one would be a Hindu face.

He said that SAD has always supported the Dalit community, he said, adding that the party's ideology is to keep all religions together.

As per the alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the Deputy CM will be from Dalit community while another Deputy CM would be a Hindu.
The Central government has betrayed the farmers and has been trying to impose the farm laws in the state, he said.
"No matter what, we won't let farm laws to be enforced," he said. SAD and BSP will bring adjournment motion during the Monsoon session of the Parliament, he announced.
Shiromani Akali Dal and Bahujan Samaj Party have been raising their voices in the interest of farmers and people of the state. Punjab Assembly Elections is likely to be held in the first quarter of 2022.
