In the show, the CM candidate of SAD discussed various challenges that Punjab is currently facing. Sharing his vision for Punjab, He said, “Out there three main parties- namely AAP, BJP, and Congress are trying hard to compete with our 100-years-old only regional party that has always stood by the people of Punjab. These parties have their leadership out of Punjab, which bars them to decide on their own. What has to be done in Punjab is decided in Delhi and not in Punjab.” Talking about his father and former Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal, he said, “Parkash Singh Badal was appointed as CM 5 times because the public of Punjab has immense faith in him. And he has earned it by never compromising on the issues of Punjab. He fought against every single odd, be it central government or neighbouring states nothing could stop him to work for Punjab’s development. He has always taught me to make promises that I’m capable of meeting.” Attacking former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, he quoted “We lost in 2017 only by 4% because right before election captain made promises holding ‘GUTKA SAHIB ‘that his government will waive off loans, will job and whatnot. But we do not that, we don’t make a fool out people.” Taking a jibe at AAP led by Arvind Kejriwal he said, “Aam Admi party is a Delhi based party and has even submitted an affidavit in Supreme Court demanding to shut power thermal plants in Punjab alleging that it is the cause of pollution in Delhi, and here comes the conflict of interest, Similar is the case with BJP who bought three black laws, against the interest of Punjab – and none of the BJP leadership in Punjab dared to counter Amit Shah or PM Narendra Modi on that issue.” “Being a border state Punjab needs strong and clear-headed governments that can bring stability and peace in the state, History speaks in our favour, all the development-oriented- governments were backed by SAD”, he said.
