PTC Web Desk: Virender Sehwag, one of India’s most celebrated cricket openers, has recently become the subject of widespread social media discussions. This came after reports suggested that there might be trouble in his marriage with wife Aarti, with rumours indicating that the couple might be heading for a divorce. Sehwag, renowned for his two triple centuries in Test cricket, married Aarti in December 2004, and they are parents to two sons—Aryavir, born in 2007, and Vedant, born in 2010.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, the couple has been living separately for several months, sparking speculation that they may be heading for a divorce. Neither Virender Sehwag nor Aarti has commented on these claims as of now. Social media buzzed with the news, especially since Sehwag hasn’t shared any recent photos with his wife on social media, although older pictures from their time together remain visible on his profile. Additionally, Virender Sehwag is no longer following Aarti, whose Instagram account is private.

In a more positive family-related update, Sehwag recently took to social media to share a humourous post about his son Aryavir, a budding cricketer who scored 297 runs in just 309 balls in the Cooch Behar Trophy. Aryavir’s impressive performance, however, fell just short of Sehwag’s career-high Test score of 319 by 23 runs. Sehwag posted on X, praising his son's efforts while also reminding him of an old promise: "Well played Aaryavir. Missed a Ferrari by 23 runs. But well done, keep the fire alive and may you score many more daddy hundreds and doubles and triples."

This playful reminder refers back to a 2015 interview, when Sehwag had promised to gift a Ferrari to his sons if they managed to surpass his record score of 319 runs.
