A massive six from India wicket-keeper Sanju Samson turned into unfortunate event when it hit a female fan in the crowd during the fourth T20I encounter against South Africa on Friday. While Samson smashed a huge 109 off just 56 balls, it left his female fan in tears after getting hit.
The incident unfolded during the 10th over of India's innings and Samson in his full swing smashed a tremendous shot over deep mic-wicket, which unfortunately hit the fan in her face. Evidently, the woman was distressed, however provided with medical assistance.
Soon after the incident, Sanju Samson was also seen apologetic upon the injury of the fan and the video of the entire incident has already gone viral on social media. Netizens on social media were also quick to react while appreciating Sanju Samson's gesture of apology.
Shedding light on the match, India crushed South Africa by 135 runs in the fourth T20I and clinched the four-match series 3-1 which is South Africa's biggest defeat in regards to the runs.
Samson completed his ton in 51 balls while Varma (41 balls) took 10 balls less. Samson now has three T20I tons in the last five innings which also included two ducks.
