Being the first modern Olympic Games to attain complete gender equity on the playing field, the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will go down in history. The fact that there are the same number of male and female competitors this year represents a critical turning point in the movement for gender parity in sports.

Statues of various notable women were on display during the opening ceremony, including Gisele Halimi (1927–2020), Christine De Piza (1364–1431), and Alice Guy (1873–1968). These women continue to inspire new generations and have made a lasting impression in their areas.

One notable feature of the event was the multilingual (Hindi included) descriptions of these monuments. The biographies of the French ladies were described in six different languages: French, English, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, and Hindi.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) President, Thomas Bach, underlined the significance of this achievement. He called it "one of the most important moments in the history of women at the Olympic Games, and in sport overall."

By promoting gender equality and celebrating athletic prowess, the Paris 2024 Olympics set a pattern for future Games.

The Paris Olympics 2024's dedication to diversity and inclusivity is further demonstrated by the inclusion of Hindi in the descriptions of these famous statues. The attainment of gender balance and this gesture elevate the opening ceremony to a historic moment in Olympic history.

Setting the stage for an exciting celebration of equality, diversity, and unity, the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics is expected to be a memorable event. The emphasis on gender equality and the presentation of Hindi underline the progressive goal of the Games, making them a genuinely global event.
