PTC News Desk: The Indian Premier League has announced its schedule for 2025. The matches will kickstart on March 21 and final will be played on May 25. The Board of Control for Cricket in India vice president Rajiv Shukla confirmed the development.

The IPL 2024 was kickstarted on March 22 when RCB and CSK faced each other and the finale took place on May 26 with KKR lifting the trophy. Earlier, Rajeev Shukla had mistakenly announced the date as March 23, which he later corrected to March 21st.
During the IPL 2025 mega auction, held over two days in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 182 players were sold for a total of Rs 639.15 crore. Most of the 10 teams concentrated on strengthening their squads after retaining their core players. In the run-up to the auction, teams held detailed discussions with the BCCI about various rules. Some teams raised concerns about the mega auction, worried about losing players they had scouted and developed.
