IND vs AFG, T20 World Cup 2024: India and Afghanistan are set to lock horns on Thursday, hoping to get their respective Super 8 campaigns off to a winning start. The last time these two teams played a T20I, it took two Super Overs to decide the winner.

Cricket fans expect another close contest, however the weather might play a spoilsport.

Barbados has hosted five matches in the ongoing competition, one of which was washed out due to rain.

The match between India and Afghanistan will begin at 8:00 PM IST (10:30 AM local time). According to reports, the weather in Barbados will be cloudy and humid, but rain is unlikely to interrupt proceedings for the time being. There's a 15% chance of precipitation.

According to weather.com, the conditions during the match should be suitable for a full game with little chance of rain interruption. This is an early morning game. The temperature is expected to range from 27 to 31 degrees Celsius.

On the other hand, according to Accuweather, there will be a light shower around 9 a.m., 1.5 hours before the start of the match. The probability of precipitation is around 51%, which means there could be a consistent shower for a few minutes or even longer. However, the probability of precipitation drops to 15% an hour later, at the toss time (local time 10 AM). The radar shows that the weather will be cloudy until 1 p.m., with a 10-20 percent chance of rain.

It rises again to 49% around 1 PM, indicating that it could be a stop-start clash with frequent interruptions. However, the radar does not accurately describe the intensity of the rain, so the result is very likely, but a shortened game cannot be ruled out.
