Asian Games 2023: On the 14th day of the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, India witnessed an exhilarating display of sportsmanship as the nation's athletes moved closer to an unprecedented milestone - crossing the coveted 100-medal mark.

In the morning session, Indian archers Aditi Gopichand and Jyoti Surekha took center stage, aiming for gold in the women's compound category. Their performances were keenly awaited, with hopes of securing podium finishes. Meanwhile, the Indian women's kabaddi team engaged in an intense showdown against Chinese Taipei in the final, with their sights set firmly on the gold.


In archery, the men's compound final featured Abhishek Verma and Ojas Deotale, who aimed to add more medals to India's already impressive tally. During the women's kabaddi final:

  1. India's women's kabaddi team emerged victorious, claiming the GOLD by beating Chinese Taipei 26-25.
  2. The game was a closely contested battle, with India leading 24-23 with approximately 2 minutes to go.
  3. However, Chinese Taipei made a remarkable comeback, securing four points and taking the lead by one point with only 4 minutes remaining.
