PTC News Desk: Neeraj Chopra, an athlete from India, was not able to make history by winning two gold medals in individual sports at the Olympics. In the men's javelin final at the Paris Olympics, the Tokyo champion took home a silver medal. Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem broke the Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters to win the gold medal, a surprise to the athletics community.

Neeraj Chopra's second attempt resulted in a best performance of 89.45m, adding an Olympic silver medal to his already impressive trophy collection. He threw over 89.34 meters, which was his highest throw ever at the Olympics, and it helped him win the gold medal in the qualification round on Tuesday.

When Neeraj Chopra won the men's javelin event in Tokyo with a best performance of 87.58 meters, he became the first Indian to win an Olympic gold medal in track and field. In addition, he became the fifth Indian to win multiple individual Olympic medals, behind Manu Bhaker, Sushil Kumar, Norman Pritchard, and PV Sindhu. When Neeraj Chopra won the men's javelin event in Tokyo with a best performance of 87.58 meters, he became the first Indian to win an Olympic gold medal in track and field. Neeraj Chopra fouled up to five times in the final, managing just one legitimate effort. Arshad Nadeem's throw of 92.97 meters, which broke Andreas Thorkildsen's record of 90,57 meters set since the 2008 Beijing Olympics, put pressure on him.

Arshad Nadeem ultimately concluded his set with two throws longer than ninety meters, good for a historic gold medal for Pakistan.

With a stellar lineup of Olympic medalists, the men's final was amazing. Five throwers exceeded Neeraj's gold medal winning distance of 87.58 meters in Tokyo on a thrilling evening at Stade de France.
