In a social media video, a shy Bhaker can be seen dancing at a function with schoolgirls.
Manu Bhaker, an Indian shooter, made history as the first athlete from independent India to win two individual medals in the same Olympics. Bhaker had an outstanding run of form at the Paris Olympics 2024, winning bronze in the women's 10m air pistol event and the 10m air pistol mixed team event alongside Sarabjot Singh.
Manu came very close to adding another medal to her collection, but she finished fourth in the 25m women's pistol.
Since her remarkable performance in Paris, the 22-year-old has been the focus of national attention, receiving an outpouring of love and support.
Bhakerwas also India's flag bearer at the 33rd Olympic Games closing ceremony in Paris.
Bhaker will likely miss October's World Cup in New Delhi after deciding to take a three-month break. "I am not sure whether she will be at the Shooting World Cup in October because she is taking a three-month break. It is a normal break, she has been practising for a long time," her coach Jaspal Rana added.
