Ludhiana, September 29: In a big relief to former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains, the Ludhiana district court on Thursday granted a big relief to the Lok Insaaf Party chief in case the 2020 Epidemics Act case. Notably, the case was filed against the LIP chief for allegedly spreading false propaganda to mislead the people about the Covid-19 pandemic. The Ludhiana Court on Thursday cancelled the case filed against Bains. For the unversed, the ex-MLA was booked under Section 54 of Disaster Management Act, Epidemics Act, 2005, Section 3 of Epidemic Disease Act, 1897 and under Section 188, 505 IPC in Ludhiana.
