Shane Warne tweeted about Rod Marsh's death hours before passing away
New Delhi, March 4: Australian cricket legend Shane Warne, who died of a suspected heart attack at the age of 52 on Friday, in the morning paid tributes to former Australia wicketkeeper Rod Marsh, who died at the age of 74 in Adelaide — eight days after suffering a heart attack while on his way to a charity event in Queensland.
He took to Twitter at 1.53am and posted his final tweet. “Sad to hear the news that Rod Marsh has passed.”

Marsh was regarded as one of Australia's greatest ever wicketkeepers. Rod Marsh had retired in 1984 after playing 96 Tests with a then-world record tally of 355 dismissals from behind the stumps.

Taking to Twitter, Shane Warne said, "Sad to hear the news that Rod Marsh has passed. He was a legend of our great game & an inspiration to so many young boys & girls. Rod cared deeply about cricket & gave so much-especially to Australia & England players. Sending lots & lots of love to Ros & the family. RIP mate."
