Vinod Dua death: Senior journalist Vinod Dua passes away, confirms his daughter and actress Mallika Dua. His cremation will take place on Sunday, she posted. Confirming Vinod Dua's death, Mallika wrote: "Our irreverent, fearless, and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has passed away. He lived an inimitable life, rising from the refugee colonies of Delhi to the peak of journalistic excellence for over 42 years, always, always speaking truth to power." The cremation will take place tomorrow (December 5) at Lodhi crematorium at 12 noon," she added. However, Journalist Vinod Dua’s daughter Mallika had said that her father “was in the ICU, fighting still”. No misinformation or rumours should be spread about his demise, she had said. A pioneer in TV journalism in India, he had worked with Doordarshan and NDTV for most of his journalistic career besides doing shows on other TV channels and online portals.
Vinod Dua and his wife Padmavati ‘Chinna’ Dua had contracted Covid during the deadliest second wave of the pandemic. Chinna had succumbed to Covid-19 in June. -PTC News
