Google introduces new Gemini AI feature 'Help Me Write' in Gmail | Know how to use
This feature allows users to refine their emails further and save significant time
PTC Web Desk: On October 29, Google announced the addition of a new AI feature to its email service, Gmail. The updated tool, named "Help Me Write," now utilises Gemini AI, allowing users to easily create and edit emails.
The "Help Me Write" feature not only assists in drafting emails but also offers suggestions for shortening or expanding messages, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of communication. This new tool is available for Google One AI premium subscribers and users with the Workspace Gemini add-on.
In addition, Google has introduced a new shortcut for the "Help Me Write" feature called "Polish," which appears for drafts containing more than 12 words. This allows users to refine their emails further. This feature aims to save users significant time. Google has rolled out this update to improve user experience and facilitate easier communication through its platform.
How to Use 'Help Me Write'
To use the Gmail "Polish" shortcut on the web, users can press 'Ctrl H', while mobile users can utilise it in place of the "Refine My Draft" shortcut. By swiping, the message will automatically be refined, benefiting from Google's AI tools. The rollout of this feature is being implemented gradually.
When users swipe the "Polish" shortcut, the app will automatically refine the message, allowing for enhanced editing with Google's other AI tools.
