Rates of PSPCL pole hiring up by 5%; check details

Patiala, April 5: Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL) on Tuesday increased the rate for the hiring of poles by the cable TV network, Cable TV operators, and Broadband service providers. The revised rates are applicable with retrospective effect from April 2022. According to the orders issued, 5 percent extra will be charged from the users for using PSPCL property, compared to the last year's rate. Cost of PSPCL pole hiring hiked (1) The commercial circular issued by the PSPCL Chief Engineer (Commercial) reads: "As per the provisions of clause 3.1 of the agreement for hiring of poles of PSPCL for laying cable TV network, the rates...shall be raised by 5% from base rate i.e. the rate prevalent in the preceding year..." Also Read | Union Minister defends fuel price hike; says rates low as compared to other countries Cost of PSPCL pole hiring hiked (2) As per the circular, revised rates are Rs 240 per annum for up to 50,000 poles for the Financial year 2022-23 (previously, Rs 230 per annum in FY 2021-22), Rs 225 per annum for above 50,000 and up to 1 lakh (previously, Rs 215 per annum) and Rs 215 per annum for above 1 lakh poles (previously, Rs 205 per annum).
