Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal makes big announcement on CBSE Class 10, 12 board exams 2021

Amid concerns of students and teachers over CBSE Class 10, 12 Board exams 2021, the Union Education Minister Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal on Monday made several major announcements even as spoke up on the matter of physical classes and reopening of schools. While addressing a webinar with students and faculty of the Kendriya Vidyalaya across India, Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal addressed the queries of the students. He said exams will be based on the reduced syllabus as per the 2020 curriculum, announced keeping in mind the coronavirus pandemic. He said that the students will only have to study the revised syllabus for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board exams 2021, and other exams based upon CBSE board syllabus 2021 that include Joint Entrance Examination (JEE 2021) and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). The questions in such exams will only be given from that portion, he said. While speaking on physical classes and the reopening of schools, he said that that online classes will continue as an option for students who are unable to join the school physically. Meanwhile, he also said that physical classes will resume and that there will be a balance 50-50 percent between the online classes and physical classes. During his interactions, there were recommendations to conduct Class 9th and 11th exams online, but the Education Minister decided not to respond directly.
