Many people were feared dead after a private bus in which they were travelling in caught fire after colliding with a tanker on Barmer-Jodhpur Highway in Rajasthan on Wednesday.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took stock of the situation and directed officials to conduct relief and rescue operations at the earliest.
Gehlot directed the District Collector regarding relief and rescue operations and asks him to ensure medical treatment for the injured.

According to a passenger, the bus departed from Balotra at 9.55 am and the accident took place when the tanker, coming from the wrong side of the road, collided with the bus on Barmer-Jodhpur Highway in Rajasthan. The bus went up in flames following the collision.

There were 25 persons travelling in the bus when the accident took place. Further details are awaited.
