Punjab Political crisis: Captain Amarinder Singh writes letter to Sonia Gandhi, says "do not interfere"

Amid a rift in Punjab Congress, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday wrote a letter to Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi, expressing apprehensions on the possible appointment of Navjot Singh Sidhu as state party chief. As per the sources, he said, in its letter to Sonia Gandhi, that the Congress high command was forcibly interfering in the politics of the Punjab government and the Punjab Congress. Adding, Captain Amarinder Singh said that the situation in Punjab was not so favorable. Both the party and the government may have to bear the loss of interference and decisions being made by the high command in the party in the days to come.
