Punjab Police suspect role of Maharashtra's Arun Gawli gang in Sidhu Moosewala killing

Chandigarh, Jun3 7: In what may proved to be a major breakthrough in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, the Punjab Police are doubting the role of the Arun Gawli gang from Maharashtra in the crime. It is learnt that the police have identified eight shooters and one Santosh Jadhav belonged to the Arun Gawli gang. Of the identified eight shooters, three shooters are from Punjab, two each from Haryana and Maharashtra while the one is from Rajasthan. A photo has surfaced in which Jadhav could be seen with Asha Gawli, who is the wife of Arun Gawli. Jadhav is a resident of Khed Tehsil in Pune. His name has cropped up during the course of investigation. The Maharashtra Police have now launched a manhunt for Jadhav. Sources said the police could question close associates of Jadhav to know about his whereabouts. Arun Gawli was awarded life imprisonment in connection with a murder case and is currently lodged in a jail in Maharashtra. Kekra is an accomplice of Sachin Bishnoi, who is a nephew of Lawrence Bishnoi. Sachin had claimed to have got Moosewala killed to avenge student leader Vicky Middukhera’s murder in May last year.
