Punjab: No space for anger in politics, Supriya Shrinate tells Captain Amarinder; ex-CM hits back
Punjab: Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate on Thursday criticised former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh over his comments on Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Navjot Singh Sidhu and the Congress party leadership. Taking a jibe at Captain Amarinder Singh, Supriya Shrinate said, “There is no space for anger in politics” and if Captain Amarinder wants to leave the party he can." But is there space for humiliation & insult in a grand old party like Congress? If a senior party leader like me can be treated like this, I wonder what the workers must go through!" Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh recently flayed Navjot Sidhu and his allies. Captain Amarinder Singh said he would sacrifice anything to oppose Navjot Sidhu’s elevation as Punjab CM, as he is “dangerous for the state as well as the country.” On this, Shrinate said, “Old people often get enraged. We respect Captain Amarinder Singh, his age and experience.
