Punjab government issues guidelines for opening of shopping malls, restaurants and religious places
Punjab government has issued a set of guidelines for opening of religious places, hotels, restaurants and other hospitality services and shopping malls. Religious places, hotels, restaurants and other hospitality services and shopping malls are allowed to open with immediate effect from June 8. In an order, it has been stated that every person entering the mall shall have COVA app on their mobile phone, But in case of a family, one person having COVA app shall be permitted to enter the mall, it stated. The entry in the mall shall be based on a token system to adhere to the maximum capacity. Meanwhile, the maximum capacity of the persons allowed in each shop in the mall shall be fixed on the basis of maintenance of 6 feet distance. Likewise, the restaurants shall only be allowed to open for take away and home delivery as of now. It also stated that there would be no 'dine-in' facility till further orders. The home delivery may be allowed till 8 pm. The managements of these places shall make adequate arrangements to ensure hand hygiene, social distancing and wearing of masks. The hotel restaurants shall remain closed and food shall be served only in the rooms for hotel guests. The state government has ordered that the night curfew shall be enforced strictly and the movement of individuals shall only be permissible from 5 am to 9 pm. Likewise, the guest would be allowed to enter and leave the hotel premises between 9 pm to 5 am based on their schedule of travel by flight and train. The limit on number of persons at the time of worship shall not exceed 20 with due distancing and the worship time should be staggered in smaller groups. -PTC News
