Punjab extends COVID restrictions till June 30, allows reopening of IELTS coaching centres
Punjab revised COVID guidelines: Punjab government led by Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday, June 25, 2021, extended the coronavirus-induced lockdown-like restrictions in the state till June 30 after reviewing the situation in the state. Punjab government issued a new set of guidelines and allowed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) coaching institutes to reopen with the condition that their teachers, staff, and students have had at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine. Here Punjab's revised COVID guidelines:
- The weekend curfew will continue on Sunday.
- The daily night curfew will continue from 8 pm to 5 am.
- Bars and pubs will continue to remain closed.
- Educational institutions will remain shut.
- Not more than 50 people will be allowed for weddings and cremations.
