New Delhi, February 14: In a bid to ensure that there's no repeat of the security breach, police personnel are carrying out intense drills in Punjab's Jalandhar as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a public rally here on Monday ahead of the Assembly elections on February 20.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ferozepur rally in Punjab earlier had to be cancelled after a major "security breach" with his convoy stuck on a flyover after the agitating farmers had blocked the road. The BJP is raising the issue of the security breach of the Prime Minister in the ongoing electioneering in the state.

On January 5, PM Modi's convoy was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes. The Punjab Assembly elections will be held on February 20.
As per information, all precautionary measures are being taken by the Punjab Police to ensure foolproof security for his Jalandhar visit on February 14. A number of security personnel have been deployed in and around the venue for the visit. Seating arrangements have been made for around 25,000 persons at the PAP grounds.
Since the visit coincides with the preparations for Guru Ravidas Jayanti on February 16, the police are making all efforts to ensure foolproof security.
BJP workers and leaders from at least 14 constituencies are expected to attend the rally. At least 400 buses will arrive at the venue.
Meanwhile, farmers have announced a peaceful protest during PM Modi visit here. On the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha call, they will burn effigies of Modi and the Central Government. They will also hold black flags along the route of the PM’s cavalcade, as per information received.
