Punjab Congress' official Twitter account hacked; 4th prominent account targeted in 3 days

New Delhi, April 11: The official Twitter account of the Punjab Congress has been hacked on Monday, becoming the fourth prominent target of hackers in the last three days. The breach came to notice when some unidentified hackers took control of the Punjab Congress' Twitter account and shared a long thread of irrelevant tweets tagging multiple unknown people across the world. The hacker also used a cartoonist picture as the profile photo for the account. Currently, the Twitter handle with the username @INCPunjab has around 184.9K followers. Punjab Congress' Twitter account hacked   Earlier, the official Twitter accounts of the University Grants Commission (UGC) India, UP Chief Minister's Office and the Indian Meteorological Department of India were also hacked. Punjab Congress' Twitter account hacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Twitter account has also been hacked in the past, making the security breach of government accounts all the more serious. The hackers announced that India had "formally recognised bitcoin as legal tender" after compromising PM Modi's account.
