Patiala, October 20: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who has always been vocal against the VIP culture and had boosted of taking measures to end the same in the state, now seems to have become a "follower of the system".
On the night of October 19, when Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann arrived at Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala for a surprise check, the district police got the flyover near Urban Estate, Patiala, cleared and deployed as many as 42 vehicles for his convoy, causing inconvenience to the general public.

A huge jam was witnessed on the flyover till CM Bhagwant Maan's convoy of 42 vehicles passed from there. A commuter, who was stuck in the jam, said Bhagwant Maan, who claimed himself to be a aam aadmi, caused huge convenience to the general public.
RTI activist Manik Goyal also took to his Twitter handle and posted a video saying," This is the big convoy of CM Bhagwant Mann near Urban Estate Patiala which has stopped traffic & led to a huge traffic jam.This is a daily occurrence in Punjab.This is the reality of Aam Aadmi Govt which once claimed to end VIP culture.and said CM Bhagwant Mann himself used to claim to end the VIP culture. The real face of AAP has come out in front of people by troubling people in this way."
Earlier too, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had come under the scrutiny of the opposition after they accused him of promoting VIP culture despite his pre-poll promises on cracking down on such instances.
Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa had posted RTI information on his official Twitter account and said "Bhagwant Mann has more cars in his convoys than the previous CMs of the state".
