Punjab: Captain Amarinder Singh's media advisor issues clarification on CM's resignation
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has not tendered his resignation, said Raveen Thukral, Media Advisor to Captain, rejecting the media reports. He said that the CM has neither quit nor offered to do so. Cracking down on reports regarding Captain Amarinder Singh's resignation, Raveen Thukral further said that Captain would lead Punjab Congress in Punjab Assembly elections 2022. He would be the Chief Ministerial candidate of the party, he said. Rawat said that Singh has been CM for the last four-and-a-half years and that he will go to the Punjab Assembly elections in 2022 with his leadership. Captain and Navjot Singh Sidhu will work together, he said. Sidhu likely to be Punjab Congress President In an order to resolve the deadlock in Punjab Congress, Priyanka Gandhi facilitated a meeting between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Rahul Gandhi.
