Punjab BJP to hold district level protest against AAP Govt

Chandigarh, June 13: Punjab BJP president and MLA Ashwani Sharma announced that all the units of Punjab BJP will hold a protest against Aam Aadmi Party Government on Monday over worsening situation of state's deteriorating law and order. While addressing party workers at Daresi ground on Sunday and to commemorate the completion of eight years of Narendra Modi's government at the Centre, state BJP president Ashwani Sharma said that the election victory has gone to the heads of AAP workers, who are now picking up arms and killing innocent people. Sharma referred to a recent shooting incident in Amritsar city, in which a 35-year-old man was murdered and two others were injured after the son of an AAP councillor opened fire over a property dispute. He added that all BJP units in the state will demonstrate against the ruling AAP government over the state's poor law and order situation. Sharma claimed that AAP chief minister Bhagwant Mann vowed to make Punjab colourful after winning elections. Ashwani Sharma said that, “Is your colourful Punjab like this, where every day innocent people are being killed. Shooting and killing in broad daylight have become a commonplace. The state lost Sidhu Moose Wala and Kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal due to the failing law and order situation.
