Punjab AG takes strict initiative against smuggling of liquid drugs

Chandigarh, September 09: Punjab Advocate General Vinod Ghai has launched a new anti-drug initiative, making it more difficult for drug addicts to escape. AG Ghai, in connection with the matter, has written a letter to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) Division and instructed them to record the quantity f liquid drugs in grams instead of litres. Earlier in 2019, the High Court ordered that liquid drugs be measured in gramms in connection with an NDPS case. According to the Court, this is the best way to determine the commercial value of drugs. However, the High Court's order was not followed.
