Weather update: Punjab, Haryana, Himachal now on deficient rainfall list

Weather update: Punjab has witnessed no significant rainfall in recent days. No rain and high humidity levels have increased the discomfort of people.  In recent days, similar low-rainfall conditions have been observed in the neighbouring states of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Now Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh have fallen again on the deficient list, 20 to 59% less than normal rain.

Between June 1 and 8.30 a.m. on July 10, both Punjab and Himachal experienced 22% deficient rain, while Haryana recorded 19% deficient rain.

Till Wednesday morning, Punjab had recorded 75.7mm, compared to a normal of 97.2mm. Himachal Pradesh had 131.7 mm of rain compared to a normal of 168.9 mm, and Haryana received 74.8 mm compared to a normal of 92.9 mm.

In 24 hours, Punjab received only 0.1mm of rain, compared to a normal of 5.5mm.
