Veteran Punjabi actor Daljit Kaur Khangura passes away aged 69
Ludhiana: Famous Punjabi actor Daljit Kaur passed away on Thursday morning in Kasba Pramhar Bazar. Daljit Kaur wa 69-years-old and was ill for a long time. Hes last rites will be performed at 12 noon.

Daljit Kaur acted in more than 10 Hindi and 70 Punjabi films. Daljit Kaur, a Lady Shri Ram College graduate from Delhi, made her acting debut at the Pune Film Institute. His first film Daaj was released in 1976. She played the lead role of the heroine in the superhit Punjabi films Putt Jattan De, Maaraman Gula Hai, Ki Banu Duniya Da, Sarpanch and Patola. She stopped acting in films after the death of her husband Harminder Singh Deol in a road accident.
The duo had no children. In 2001, she re-entered the film world and appeared in mother and other roles befitting her age. She played Gippy Grewal's mother in the Punjabi film Singh Vs Kaur.
Daljit Kaur was also a national player in Kabaddi and Hockey. she was suffering from severe mental illness for the past few years. Daljit Kaur was born in 1953 in Siliguri. She had been living with her cousin Harjinder Singh Khangura in Kasba Gurusar Samthar Bazar for the past 12 years.
