Ludhiana, November 14: The Ludhiana city police have nominated USA-based wanted criminal Darmanjot Singh Kahlon in Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder case. The police on Saturday brought two shooters — Mandeep Singh Toofan and Manpreet Singh Rayya — on a production warrant from the Goindwal central jail. Both of them were produced in a local court, which sent them to five-day police remand.

Shooters Manpreet Toofan and Manpreet Rayya were arrested by the Punjab Police in September for the killing of Sidhu Moosewala.

During the investigation into the case, it was found that Darmanjot Khalon, a co-accused of Toofan in a previous case, had given him directions to complete a task for Canada-based Goldy Brar. He has been nominated for allegedly supplying weapons to the shooters in Moosewala case.

The gangsters told the police that Darman Kahlon had told them to meet Satbir, who would take them to Mansa in his car. Darman had assigned two tasks to the miscreants — to deliver Hawala amount and kill Moosewala.

Manpreet Rayya and Mandeep Toofan were travelling in Fortuner car. Their third accomplice was later identified as Gurmeet of Batala. All these accused were involved in the murder of Moosewala.

It is learnt that the accused had kept police uniform in the Fortuner and there was a plan to fake an encounter at Moosewala's house by pretending to be police personnel. Since Moosewala had security, they had to changed the plan on the spot.

Manpreet Rayya, Mandeep Toofan, Gurmeet Meeta and Satbir Singh were captured in CCTVs before and after the crime.
