Kumbra Murder: Second attack victim succumbs to injuries during treatment at PGI; security tightened

PTC News Desk: Second attack victim in Kumbra murder row has also succumbed to his injuries while he was undergoing treatment at PGI, Chandigarh prompting Mohali Police to tighten security measures in Kumbra village. The deceased has been identified as Dilpreet Singh. 


Tensions engulfed the village ever since the murder of first teenager, Damanpreet Singh on November 13 followed by outrage by deceased's kin.

 

Mohali SSP Deepak Pareek said, “The situation is under control and police have been deployed as preventive measures to maintain law and order." So far seven accused have been arrested in the case.  The latest one apprehended from Delhi.


Fear gripped Kumbra village after a fatal attack on 17 year old resulting in his death and leaving other teenager critically injured who also succumbed to his injuries the other day. The murder was motivated by a petty issue leaving villagers in dread with businesses shuttered and palpable sense of uncomfort.
