PTC News Desk: A video of a woman single-handedly stopping three robbers from entering her home has gone viral on social media. The video shows a woman shouting and blocking the door as the robbers attempt to force their way in.
The incident took place in Punjab's Amritsar.
Mandeep Kaur's husband, Jagjeet Singh, is a jeweller. This could be the reason the robbers targeted their home.
Kaur claimed she was drying clothes when she noticed three masked men approaching her house. They soon climbed the wall and approached the main door.
She quickly locked the door, but the robbers started pushing hard to get in. The CCTV footage shows Kaur barring the door with all her strength while the robbers continue to push. She successfully latches the door and then pulls the sofa to secure the entrance.
The CCTV footage also shows her son and daughter. With the door secured, Kaur is seen making phone calls for help while frequently checking the windows to see if the robbers have escaped.
Two cameras at the house's entrance caught the three robbers pressing hard against the main door. Kaur is heard screaming as the robbers fail to force their way inside and flee.
Woman police officer AK Sohi stated that they are investigating the robbery attempt and scrutinising CCTV footage to identify the culprits so that they can be apprehended as soon as possible.
