Punjab VB arrests AAP MLA Amit Rattan Kotfatta in bribery case
Amit Rattan Kotfatta arrested: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrested Aam Aadmi Party’s MLA from Punjab’s Bathinda Rural seat Amit Rattan Kotfatta in a bribery case.
Vigilance Bureau team nabbed MLA Amit Rattan from Karnal on Wednesday evening.

Amit Rattan Kotfatta will be produced in Bathinda court on Thursday to seek his remand. He was to be taken to a hospital for medical examination as per standard protocol.
Kotfatta is the second AAP legislator to be arrested for alleged involvement in corruption and bribery.
The MLA's arrest comes four after he was called for questioning by the vigilance officials, sources pointed out.
Notably, earlier on February 16, Punjab Vigilance arrested the PA of Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Bathinda rural Amit Ratan for taking a bribe of Rs 4 lakh.
Kotfatta had earlier denied having any association with Garg. He had accused the opposition parties of trying to defame the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
