PTC News Desk: In a shocking news, District president of Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) Mangat Rai Manga was shot dead by unknown assailants in Punjab's Mogs district on Thursday.
An 11-year-old boy, Thomas, was also injured in the attack, they said.
Initially the assailants opened fire at Manga who escaped and the bullet hit the 11 year old child. The assailants then chased Manga and again opened fire where his fate was sealed and assailants fled the spot.
Soon after the incident, Manga was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. The injured child was initially admitted to the Moga Civil Hospital and later referred to another hospital, DMC, for better treatment, according to an official.
Police officials have registered a case into the matter and manhunt has been launched.
