Punjab Residents wake up to warm mornings light downpour expected

PTC News Desk: After persistent cold wave, the residents of  Punjab Haryana and Chandigarh woke to comparatively warm morning. Following the activation of western disturbances, light downpour is expected in districts of Punjab and adjoining areas.

A drop in temperature has been recorded in the past 24 hours and Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall for the next two days. 

However the drop in temperature recorded is above normal, the weather officer said. Despite significantly warm morning, cold wave continue to sweep at nights coupled with dense fog, especially in the remote areas.
