Punjab: Panic grips Amritsar's Islamabad after blast at police station, Indian army teams deployed

PTC News Desk: Panic gripped Islamabad area during the small hours of Tuesday after a blast at Islamabad police station.
According to the police officials, the blast was heard at around 03:00 am subsequently police officials reached the spot. Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said locals heard the sound of the explosion at the police station, but there was no damage there.
Germany-base gangster Jeevan Fauji took responsibility for the blast. The police officials have launched investigation into the matter. The post read, "After 1984, what the governments have done to the Sikhs and their families, and what they will do in the future, let the answer be like this. If this uniform remains incompetent in liberating the homes of the Sikhs, they themselves will not be able to live in those huge built walls of the police stations,"
Several teams of Indian army have been deployed to investigate the matter. This is sixth such incident at a police establishment in the state in recent past.
Earlier on December 4, an explosion at Majitha police station in Amritsar was also reported. Following the trail, an IED was found outside Ajnala Police Station and a blast took place inside Gurbax Nagar police post in Amritsar police commissionerate.
