PTC Web Desk:  Punjab’s law and order crisis deepens as new details surface in the murder of kabaddi player Sukhwinder Singh in Tarn Taran's Naushera Pannuan area. The young athlete was shot dead on Sunday evening, sending shockwaves across the region.

In a significant twist, the police have revealed that the deceased had ties to gangster Satnam Satta, a notorious criminal currently operating from abroad. The police said Sukhwinder was Satta’s cousin.

CCTV footage obtained from the crime scene shows Sukhwinder visiting a local shop, allegedly to collect extortion money. The police also recovered a country-made pistol from his possession, raising suspicions about his involvement in illegal activities.

While the victim’s family insists Sukhwinder had no known enemies and had recently married, police are investigating his alleged links with the gangster network. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) stated that all possible motives, including criminal associations and personal disputes, were being thoroughly examined.

The victim’s family has called for swift action, urging the police to apprehend those responsible. Meanwhile, investigators are delving deeper into the gangster connection to understand the sequence of events leading to the murder.
