PTC Web Desk: The Punjab Government has announced a public holiday on Monday, March 31, on account of Eid-ul-Fitr. As a result, all schools, colleges, offices, and other educational institutions across the state will remain closed.
With March 30 falling on a Sunday, the declaration ensures a two-day break for the public.
Unlike previous years, when banks remained closed on Eid, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken a different approach this time. The RBI has directed all banks engaged in government transactions to remain open on March 31. This decision has been made to facilitate the smooth closure of financial transactions for the fiscal year 2024-25.
