Punjab bureaucratic reshuffle: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government on Monday issued transfer and new posting orders for 25 IAS officers and 99 PCS officers.
Among the key changes, senior IAS officer Rahul Tiwari, currently serving as Secretary of Housing, has been given additional charge of New and Renewable Energy Sources. Sandeep Hans has been posted as Director, Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities, while Sanyam Aggarwal will now serve as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Bathinda. HS Sudan has been assigned the role of Special Secretary, Revenue.
Aditya Uppa, the Deputy Commissioner of Pathankot, has been given additional responsibility as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Pathankot. Abhijeet Kaplish has been posted as Director, Mines and Geology, with an additional charge as Secretary, Punjab Development Commission. Neeru Katyal Gupta has been appointed Chief Administrator, Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority. Ravinder Singh has been posted as Director, Higher Education, and Ankurjeet Singh as Additional Commissioner, MC Jalandhar.
Other key postings include Chandrajyoti Singh as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rural Development, Roopnagar, and Ojasvi as ADC, General, Faridkot.
In the Punjab Civil Services (PCS) cadre, officers such as GS Thinda, Jasbir Singh, Navjot Kaur, Bikramjit Singh Shergill, Rupinderpal Singh, and Amarbir Singh were also transferred.
Additionally, senior IAS officer Alok Shekhar, who holds the post of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Jails, has been given the additional charge of Social Justice, Empowerment, and Minorities. DK Tiwari has been posted as ACS, Transport, while Rahul Bhandari has been appointed Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries.
