PTC News Desk: Farmers protesting against the slow paddy procurement and other key issues on Sunday announced to lift road blockades. The development comes after a meeting between farmers and the Punjab government.

After the key meeting, the farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that their struggle will continue, but the jams from the highway will be lifted.

Farmers staged roadblocks, or "chakka jam," across several parts of Punjab, including Sangrur, Moga, Phagwara, and Batala on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Sarwan Singh Pandher said, "The indefinite roadblocks announced by both fronts with demands for paddy procurement, DAP, and stubble issues have reached the second day. The Chief Minister went to Delhi yesterday and said he had conversations with the MHA and JP Nadda."

"The sellers and the centre have not reached a decision yet... Ravneet Singh Bittu should talk to the centre as well as the sellers to reach an agreement... The Chief Minister will be busy campaigning in Hoshiarpur for the bye-elections, but he has promised to meet with us... The Punjab government takes a different stand on the stubble issue. The CM attacked farmers yesterday in Delhi, claiming that they obstruct highways," he added.

The farmers also protested against police actions against them for stubble burning on Saturday.
