Punjab Govt 'sitting' on the file of Congress leader Navjot Sidhu's release from jail
Govt yet to share list of 51 prisoners, including Navjot Singh Sidhu, to be released on R-Day with Governor
Patiala, January 25: Congress leader Navjot Sidhu's release, it seems, is not on the priority list of the Punjab Government, led by Bhagwant Mann.
It is learnt the Punjab Government has not yet sent the list of 51 other prisoners, including Navjot Singh Sidhu, to be released on Republic Day to Punjab Governor BL Purohit.
The state jail department has already shared the file related to the release of the prisoners to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. After the state government, Governor BL Purohit has to take the final decision on the relevant file. However, if it is delayed, Navjot Singh Sidhu will not be able to walk free and attend Rahul Gandhi's Srinagar rally on January 30.
