Punjab's air quality continues to remain 'poor'; yellow alert issued
The air quality in Punjab continues to remain 'poor' on Saturday. However, a little respite was witnessed in air quality on Friday as compared to the previous day as low visibility lasted for a shorter period of time in the morning.

On the other hand, the India Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for fog on Saturday. Strong winds are projected to move across the upper Himalayas starting Sunday due to the activation of Western Disturbance. The cold will become more intense beginning on Sunday.
According to the weather department, very dense fog is projected in parts of Punjab. Mansa, Sangrur, Barnala, Bathinda, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Faridkot, Ludhiana, Moga, Firozepur, Jalandhar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Gurdaspur will continue to remain engulfed by smog.
